Working at TheCodeFactory I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with many entrepreneurs who are always surrounded onsite by their team. I’d never experienced what it would be like to work as part of a team whose members are scattered in a number of different places. I recently had the opportunity to find out!
While working on a web design for a client in another part of the city we saw no need to work in person together – with everything on the cloud these days, who needs to? I worked remotely doing web development for them for a couple of weeks before they invited me to spend an afternoon at their office – partly to meet the team and partly to put faces to the names ! We also met to go over some of the finer details of their website design.
You know what’s crazy? We accomplished as much if not more in those four hours than we did in the previous two weeks of working together.
That’s not to say that we needed, or even should have been face-to-face the entire time – it would have been pretty boring to watch web development for a few hours, I’m sure! The reason it made us more efficient was that we chose the exact right moment to get together. Why spend two hours exchanging emails when details can be ironed out in minutes when in person?
This is where our temporary office space and meeting rooms come in – they’re designed to help in situations just like these. Maybe your team isn’t quite ready for dedicated office space, but you still need a spot to get together occasionally to go over everything face to face – that’s where we can help.
Our temporary office space offers workspace in four- and eight hour blocks on weekdays. Our online reservation calendar even has a handy “repeat” tool that allows you to reserve space on a recurring basis without having to create a separate reservation for each block.
If you have any questions or if you’d like to find out more about our temporary office space, feel free to get in touch by sending an email to info[at]thecodefactory[dot]ca or giving us a call at 613-808-3890.
