What’s the only event that measures its success in hires and smiles?
You guessed it – Students and Startups is getting ready to make its grand return!
That’s right, our famous event series is coming back following a brief hiatus, and it’s going to be better than ever!
For those of you who are new to Students and Start-ups (welcome!) here’s a quick overview: Students and Startups (SNS) is a series of events hosted by TheCodeFactory that aims to connect students who are looking for relevant and meaningful employment with start-ups who are in search of energetic and enthusiastic employees.
Sounds pretty simple, right? It is!
SNS is meant to be a fun, friendly, and informal way for local start-ups to connect with tomorrow’s best and brightest (that’s you, Carleton/Ottawa U/Algonquin/La Cite students!). To date, we’ve had 14 events that have resulted in 28 hires and more than 300 smiles – I told you smiles were a success factor!
What are the guidelines? Students, you have to be looking for work in the next three months, and be a recent grad. Startups, you have to be looking to hire within the next three months. This could be full-time, part-time, a contract, or a co-op position. We’re pretty easy going 🙂
Stay tuned to the blog – more details and information will be coming your way soon! In the meantime, why not take some time to explore our YouTube channel – it features many SNS testimonials, like this one with Fred and Calvin of Blindside Networks. Happy watching!
