Every time a client uses one of our meeting spaces, we follow up the next day with an email to ask how the meeting went. We always want to know what is working well, but more importantly, we want to know what we could have done to make your experience the best it possibly could have been.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve had a few people mention that while the space worked perfectly for their meetings (yay!), the food policy made them reluctant to book a second or third time. When we heard this, we knew we had to make a change.
We spent some time brainstorming the best way to re-write the food policy in such a way that smaller meetings (like those who had so kindly provided the thoughtful feedback) wouldn’t have to worry about paying the $50 fee if they simply wanted to have a sandwich while they worked, but that would encourage larger, catered meetings to leave the space in the same neat and tidy condition they received it in.
We think we’ve figured it out!

“The Licensee is welcome to make catering arrangements. The Facility does not provide catering service, although we can recommend some local providers.
In the event that the Facility is not left in the same tidy condition it was received in, a clean-up surcharge of $50 plus HST will be invoiced and due immediately. If there is any damage to any of the furniture or the facility itself as a result of food being brought into the space, the Licensee will be required to cover the cost of repairing those damages.” (see full rental policy here)
